Overview
HP V1405 series devices are plug-and-play unmanaged fixed-configuration Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Layer 2 switches designed for small and midsize businesses looking for entry-level, low-cost networking. Series models include rack-mountable 16- and 24-port Gigabit switches; rack-mountable 16-, 24-, and 24+2 Fast Ethernet switches; desktop office environment 5- and 8-port Gigabit and Fast Ethernet switches; and desktop compact 5-, 8-, and 16-port Gigabit and Fast Ethernet switches.

These unmanaged switches are preconfigured for fast, easy installation, with connections using low-cost Ethernet copper cabling. They support administration-friendly features such as autonegotiated port speed and automatic detection of the Ethernet cable type (MDI/MDIX). They are solidly built for business environments, with fanless quiet “green” operation, and designed for high reliability, long life, low power consumption, and low total cost of ownership. All switches are supported by a 3-year warranty.
